US adds Chinese supercomputing entities to economic blacklist – Security

The US Commerce Division claimed Thursday it was including seven Chinese supercomputing entities to a US financial blacklist for assisting Chinese military services endeavours.

The Commerce Division claimed the seven ended up “associated with making supercomputers utilised by China’s military services actors, its destabilising military services modernization endeavours, and/or weapons of mass destruction systems.”

The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not promptly react to requests for comment.
